The Alba ME Alarm Clock is a handmade piece of Eco-Design. The design and production lie in Devin Barette and Mike Giles’ hands, both better known as Furni. Each Alarm Clock is manufactured piece by piece in a small two-people workshop in the Montreal centre.

With its wooden housing and its large LED display, Alba ME spreads the classic charm of the 1970es. Moreover Alba is ecologically correct: only cuts from the Canadian furniture industry are used for the alarm clock’s housing. This makes Alba an example for aesthetically appealing Eco-Design.

In the alarm clock’s wooden housing there is a loudspeaker. This one can be connected directly to an iPod/iPhone or mp3-player. The bottom from Alba ME is coated with slip-resistant silicone and the brightness of the red LED-numbers is dimmable by ten steps.

With a normal 3.5 mm jack plug, any kind of audio devices are connectable to the Alba ME alarm clock. Suitable adapters are moreover included in the delivery package, so than one can take the alarm clock with one on holiday without any problems of usage in Australia, the USA, the United Kingdom and Europe.
