Moooi - Egg Vase

The Egg Vases by Moooi form a collection of playful vases that have been designed by Marcel Wanders in 1997. The experimental design has been created in a project together with Droog Design and Rosenthal.

For the Egg Vases Marcel Wanders used the imprint of a condom, which he had filled with cooked eggs before. The size of the vase results from the number of eggs that have been used.

The Egg Vases come in three sizes and consist of white porcelain that is glazed white on the inside.

Marcel Wanders was born in 1963 in Boxtel/ the Netherlands. After being expelled from the Design Academy in Eindhoven because he was considered to be unteachable, Wanders studied in Maastricht and Hasselt (Belgium) and graduated 1988 in Arnheim cum laude. Designer Marcel Wanders
