The Satellite Bowl by Carlo Contin out of the year 1999 is the convincing result of the attempt of assorting equal-formed tubes in the simplest geometric form. The black wooden spokes grow together to an exceptional design-accessory and a striking eye-catcher.
Carlo Contin designed the Satellite Bowl for the New York Museum of Modern Art (MoMa). The design of the bowl thereby is a tribute to the Sciangai Clothes Rack by De Pas, D’Urbino, Lomazzi and uses the same principle of apart-falling rods that stabilize themselves.
The MoMa offers the bowl in two sizes.
Carlo Conti was born near Milan in 1967. In 1998 he founded his own design studio, where he works as architect and designer. Namely companies such as Coop, Cappellini and Guzzini count to his clients. Designer Carlo Contin
