Match is the answer to the famous problem: How do you light up a tealight in a tealight holder? Should you light up the candle first and let it fall into the holder or should you light it up in the inside?

The designers of Form us with Love asked themselves the same question. After they burned their fingers after some test, they decided to solve the problem. The solution of their work is the Match tealight holder, which is produced by Muuto.

The solution of the problem was a simple cut on the side of the tealight holder. Through that you can put a match from the outside into the tealight. If the fire is sparked, the match can be taken out as easy as you put it in. The candle burns, no wax was spilled and the fingers don't hurt either.

Besides the practical aspect, the cut in Match has also an esthetic characteristic. So it does not only underline the longly and thin line of Match, but also supports the flickering of the flame of the tealight. At the same time it offers the light, to get out on only one area, which creates a speial colour game.
