The Animal Box with the Llama by areaware is a sculpture and a small box to hide private things. Each Animal Box represents a strong animal. It is a symbol and a totem for dreams and ambitions of its owner.

The designer Karl Zahn shaped the Animal Box Llama knowingly simple so that the symbolism of the animal doesn’t get lost in unnecessary decoration or details. Beside the symbolic function, each animal box is furthermore a storage box for small objects. A joint allows the opening of the box, which can include smaller objects at the time.

Areaware manufactures the Animal Box after a design from Karl Zahn out of beech wood.

Karl Zahn was born in 1981 in Vermont and grew up playing in his father’s woodshop. After completing his studies in Product Design at the Rhode Island School of Design in 2003, Zahn worked as an Architectural Fabricator. Designer Karl Zahn
