Jacob Jensen watches are already regarded as modern classics. In the summer of 2006 the renowned Danish design team received the Red Dot Design Award for their Chronograph and in 2007 they were nominated for the Designpreis der BRD.

Jacob Jensen presents the new 800s models in the design of the popular titanium line from nickel-free stainless steel as men’s and women’s watch. Besides a larger shell they also have a stepped and therefore 3-dimensional dial.

“There is a bigger demand for watches that are more voluminous than the ones currently on the market” says the 44-year old chief designer Timothy Jacob Jensen. “We want to meet this demand without compromising our own known classic shapes”.

The challenge was to design a watch with a bigger weight and at the same time providing the traditional elegance of a Jacob Jensen watch.

The new 800s watches are not only marked by their size: The simple design with the simply structured index abides by the typical Jacob Jensen design. The 3-dimensional dial with calendar display at 12 o’clock as a concise property of the 800s line is marked by its clear contours. A true novelty of the 800s line is the premium simple leather wristlet that is being inserted seamlessly into the shell. Of course all of the models of the 800s series can also be equipped with the classic Jacob Jensen rubber wristlet, if desired.

The equipment meets the usual high standard of Jacob Jensen watches: solid nickel-free stainless steel shell, glass out of scratch-proof sapphire crystal and a premium SWISS ETA clockwork.

“I would say that the watches of the 800s line are grand in many aspects” says Timothy Jacob Jensen. “Not only the shapes contribute to making them THE ideal of a distinctive watch.”

The combination of functionality and material will make every owner happy, now and in the future.
