One of the legendary watch classics out of the Georg Jensen design collection is Vivianna, from the Swedish designer Vivianna Torun Bülow-Hübe. In memory of the time when she was inspired for her first wristwatch, Vivianna said once:

”Then watches still were mere chronometers – time measuring devices that would catch us up all the time. I wanted people to free from the enslavement of time; I wanted to create a watch that would remind the people that life is now, in this very moment. Therefore I have designed a watch with a mirror dial, without numbers and with a simple seconds pointer. A watch shouldn’t make us prisoners of time – but rather free us. Maybe it is possible to shape a clock so that one perceives the now and here a bit more intense. The watch is an object that has no end, and symbolizes thereby that we shouldn’t be captured by the time. And the mirror-like dial reminds us, that our lives take place here and now.”

In 1967 began the cooperation between Georg Jensen and Vivianna Torum Bülow-Hübe. Whose original design has been adapted to the “bangle-watch” and became the most successful watch from the Georg Jensen collection. Along the years different versions were added: beside the simple steel edition there is one with brilliants, a black one with golden pointers and a version out of 18 carat gold.

The Vivianna Watch is a Swiss-Made stainless steel watch that has a stainless steel bangle instead of a conventional one. The opening of the bangle watch is made with a pressing together and unhooking of the bangle. When the housing swings to one side, the bangle can be fixed at the wrist without any efforts and the hook clamped in, so that it can be closed.

The Vivianna Watch consists of Sapphire crystal and a mirror dial. The housing of the watch has a diameter of 27 mm. Furthermore Vivianna is available in a larger edition with a diameter of 34 mm (Model 326). The bangles are available opened or closed for many different wrist-sizes.

• The watch is waterproof to 6 bar and can therefore be worn during the shower without any problems, but not as you swimm. However, we suggest you to take the watch off before you take a shower because soap, parfume etc. can affect the function of the watch lastingly.
