Charles Eames created the plug-cards game House of Cards in 1952 and with it he created his most successful toy until today. After the small and middle edition of the House of Cards-plug cards game, also the Giant version followed now.
20 different shaped cards enable the construction of unique cards houses which emerge individually according to how one feels. Giant House of Cards ensures surprising, exciting moments again and again and it offers an occupation in which one sinks.
The single cards have 6 slots each one so that different constructions emerge when they are connected. But the specialty of House of Cards is not only the construction, but also the design. The pictures on the cards show images which could also be constructed in three-dimensional structures. The graphic markings are thereby inspired by arts, science and the daily life.
The message of the House of Cards motives is simultaneously a message from Charles and Ray Eames: to value arts in its most pure form. A glimpse on things that surround us every day is enough.
Charles Eames, born in 1907 in Saint Louis, Missouri - Ray Eames, born as Bernice Alexandra Kaiser in 1912 in Sacramento, Kalifornien designed trend-setting designs, which can be found wordlwide in numerous museums. Designer Charles & Ray Eames
