Rosendahl’s wooden elephant consists of massive oak wood. Thanks to the high quality material as well as the exceptional production, Kay Bojesen’s legendary design offers playing-enjoyment along the years. The wooden elephant is part of a collection of wooden animals that has been designed by Kay Bojesen between 1935 and 1957 for Rosendahl. The Danish company manufactures the wooden animals in tight cooperation qith Kay Bojesen’s family today.

Not only in child’s rooms but also in shelves and offices, the Kay Bojesen wooden animals have become collectors’ items: passing on following generations. Therefor the animals are perfect as gift, where people live and play: Christening, birthday, confirmation, graduation, wedding, anniversary.

All his life Bojesen has paid homage to the mantra that good design should be humane, warm and lively: „They should remind you of a circus“, is how he usually described his work, of which the animal are the most popular.
