Espresso Maker "Pina"

Cappuccino and espresso are fix parts of the Italian coffee culture.

Since 2006 Alessi produces the espresso maker “Pina” after a minimalist design of the Italian designer Piero Lissoni who gave his debut for Alessi with Pina.

“Simple but elegant, practical and still stylish” is how Alberto Alessi judges the new espresso cooker “Pina”.

The form of the espresso maker is similar to a dull cone. The corpus is made out of cast aluminium; the handle out of bakelite. Unfortunately Pina is not adapted to induction cookers.

Design: Piero Lissoni

Piero Lissoni was born in 1956 in Seregno, Italiy. After his architecture studies in Milan did he work as a designer for Molteni and Lema. In 1986 he founded in cooperation with Nicoletta Canesi the Milan studio "Lissoni Associat". Designer Piero Lissoni
