The espresso maker "La Conica", which was designed by Aldo Rossi for Alessi in the 1980ies, is a classic design.

It was the first object of Rossi, which was mass-produced and developed relly quick to a bestseller.

"La Conica" is the acme of architecture and household article. Rossi had the idea, to make a simple household article to a minimalistic memorial. From this idea come the clear shapes, which pull up high like a building and let the espresso mashine seem like a tower.
