It is most likely one the best known design objects of the 20th century: the citrus squeezer Juicy Salif

Juicy Salif besteht aus Gußaluminium. Die Füße sind aus PA-Kunststoff.

In 1990, Philippe Starck designed the extraordinary object fort he traditional Italian company Alessi. Allegedly, the idea for Juicy Salif came on his mind when he was eating calamari.

Although there are contrary positions concerning the functionality due to the missing sieve for the cores, Juicy Salif with its striking form embodies the postmodern design of the late 20th century.
