Banana King is a practical mill for salt, pepper or seasonings and to that a designable bridging between Western functionalism and Eastern art.

Banana King is inspired by the Asian art and the traditional handcraft. The mill is a phantasyful object full of energy, which is ingrained in the Asian tradition and in the Western understanding of basic commodity.

The multifunctional mill Banana King is part of the collection Oriental of the designer Stefano Giovannoni. In cooperation with the National Palace Museum in Taiwan the Italian designer designs also the name of phantasyful basic commodities for A di Alessi.

The Italian manufacturter brings with Oriental Asian fascination to Europe and has the goal, to bring the Erpean and the Asian culture to each other. The slogan is: Eastern art out of a European point of view.
