The tableware series was named after their designer Luigi Caccia Dominioni.
He was born in Milan in 1913 and made his diploma at the Faculty for Architecture at the Politecnico in Milan in 1936. In the same year he started his working in Venice in cooperation with Livio e Pier Giacomo Castiglioni and won zje award of the School of Vimercate.
His activities in the category of the Industrial Design made him to a pioneer at the VII. Triennale in Milan, because of the series of radios, which he designed with the brothers Castiglioni.
The tableware series "Caccia" can be seen in the Museum of Modern Art in New York, it was in 1938 designed by Luigi Caccia Dominioni and Livio e Pier Giacomo Castiglioni.
This plain, adorable tableware has been produced by Alessi since 1990 and is since then a topseller.
