Arne Jacobsen created a futuristic and minimalist cutlery series in the year 1957, which is more contemporaneous than ever today.

The cutlery was initially designed for the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen. When it cam out in the year 1957, it was really controversial.

The clear lines are connected with the handicraft edition to a form that lies pleasantly in the hands.

The slim forms and the bare contour from Arne Jacobsen have made a classic out of the model.

The Arne Jacobsen cutlery was shown in the Stanley Kubrik’s 2001: A Space Odyssey and other films.

It developed to one of the most famous cutleries from Georg Jensen along the time.

Arne Jacobsen is made out of matt, stainless steel.

Arne Jacobsen (1902-1971) used to be professor at the Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen and was appointed Dr. h.c. by several foreign universities and academies. He is considered as one of the pathfinders of the current furniture art.. Designer Arne Jacobsen
