The 1957 by Henning Koppel designed cutlery pattern Caravel has been honoured with numerous awards, including the prestigious Golden Spoon (1963). Thereby the jury prized Caravel for its brilliant functionalistic expression, its style and the understanding for silver. The pattern Caravel is a characteristic Koppel because of the simple, flat and plain style and the typical organic approach to form.
Henning Koppel (1918-1981) has been a trained sculptor and began his cooperation with Georg Jensen in the year 1946.
