In the Japanese tradition a stone with a rope in the middle of the way means that one shouldn’t continue that way. The Japanese artist Hachiro Kosuga took this tradition and reinterpreted it with his Takeami Stone. His artistic, bamboo braided stones are not only suitable as paper weights.
A Takeami Stone on top of a laptop could signalize in a stressful day: ”Enough for today, time to rest!” This beautiful object has been chosen by the German based artist and curator Miki Shimokawa for Auerberg in Kyoto by Hachiro Kosuga.
