Charles & Ray Eames were the first ones to show their gratitude to a beloved bird, offering tribute to it with the Eames House Bird. Now Menu and the Norway designers Engesvik and StokkeAustad say welcome to a new bird: Howdy Owl.
Howdy Owl from Menu is a mixture of sagacity and creativity and a decorative celebration of real originality. Inspired by mystery, sagacity and magic that are often connected to owls, Howdy Owl has an equally simple and strong presence.
”We want to create a sculptural expression that doesn’t follow different aims than to be a decorative invitation to the viewers. In this sense, Howdy Owl is an appeal to move. An invitation to ask questions and to repeat or to be inspired by the sagacity and knowledge of Owls”, explains the designer Andreas Engevik.
He small wooden creature, Howdy Owl is made out of one piece of basswood by Menu, and it is available in three different sizes.
