Many years and prototypes later he changed the president’s life in the Èlysée Palace: the Italian only asked him to redefine the term furniture. This magnificent designer also created a new Hotel world in New York at the Royalton and the Paramount.

Starck’s overwhelming international success and cultural status proved that people all around the world are receptive for his kind-hearted philosophy and his unmistakable aesthetic sensorial. The democratic design projects that he worked on with Target (USA) and j/ii (Japan), but also the Taschen bookshops in Paris and Los Angeles or the Bon-Restaurant chain are some of the schemes that are presented in this book, which follows the whole career of the presently greatest design super hero.
