Michael Graves became famous as architect with his buildings, when he started to go into the product design in the 1980s. Alberto Alessi counts the cooperation work with Graves as „my many nice experiences as design manager“, „his way was enthusiastic and disputed, he was inspired by big successes and popularity“. In the new branch where Graves Wirken also seen as very critical. Still his works please until now with a big popularity.

In 1984 Michael Graves designed the legendary "Bird Kettle". It was the first product, which was designed by an American designer for Alessi. The here offered water boiler is a modern copy of the bird-flute-boiler - with the difference that it heats up the water via electronic and is not tied to a cooker.

The water boiler is made of stainless steel, handle, essay and bird flute made of PA plastic.

The Alessi Water Boiler MG32 is also available with ivory coloured plastic parts.
