Emeco - Navy Bar Stool

The Navy bar stool is based on the same design as the classic Navy chair 1006 from Emeco. The timeless stool is handmade from aluminium, which is why every specimen is unique.

Still today, the Navy bar stool is being handcrafted in the USA. Emeco’s craftsmen need 77 working steps and about 4 hours of time to manufacture only one Navy bar stool. Because of the costly handwork every stool is an individual piece. It does not only convince with its timeless design but also through a high preparation quality, stability and durability.

The robust qualities and the functional design of the whole Navy-series are justified by their genesis: the Navy stool was already developed in the year 1944 in cooperation with the aluminium manufacturer ALCOA for military reasons. Initially it should have been used by the Navy, this is the reason for its name. The result convinced because of its low weight, its stability and durability, just like today.

The Navy bar stool from Emeco is also available in a polished aluminium version and in a special powder-coated version. Furthermore the bar stool can be demanded with a 94 cm height as well as with arm-rests.
