“Déjà-vu” is the name of the furniture series that was designed by the exceptional Japanese designer Naoto Fukasawa for Magis. And as the name already reveals, the shaping of the bar stool is apparently oriented to the classic forms that is characteristic for this kind of furniture shaping.

Thereby Naoto Fukasawa succeeded creating a modern expression to the classic bar stool, through the material and transparent accents, not braving the time-spirit or completely submitting to it.

The legs of the 2005 firstly produced Déjà-vu bar stool are made out of profile aluminium; seat and feet-supports out of aluminium die casting. That is how it is fire-resistant and suitable for outside areas. Furthermore the bar stool is demountable if necessary. The inserted aluminium is natural and wasn’t chemically worked.

We offer the Déjà-vu in the sophisticated black variant. Seat and legs are also available in white and polished editions.

Naoto Fukasawa was born in 1956 in Yamanashi-Prefecture, Japan. He graduated from Tama Art University's Product Design Department in art and 3D design in 1980. Designer Naoto Fukasawa
