Déjà-vu is the name of a product series that has been designed by the Japanese designer Naoto Fukasava for Magis. As the name reveals, the design is oriented by a classic shaping and transmits it to modern times.
The classic form is fulfilled by modern materials: Feet of the Déjà-vu Chair consist of profile aluminium; seat and backrest out of aluminium die casting. The back of the backrest consists of different material depending on the edition of the chair. Coloured or out of wood they form a contrast to the rest, glossy chair.
The Japanese designer naoto Fukasawa designed Déjà-vu as furniture collection. The name includes different tables, chairs and bar stools in numerous editions produced by the Italian manufacturer Magis.
Naoto Fukasawa was born in 1956 in Yamanashi-Prefecture, Japan. He graduated from Tama Art University's Product Design Department in art and 3D design in 1980. Designer Naoto Fukasawa
