The Coat Tree coat rack was designed in the year 1971 by Sidse Werner. The coat rack originally was part of the Series 9 from Fritz Hansen. Coat Tree consists of 8 curved steel tubes with form-pressed plastic balls.
It is told that 48 coats can be hanged at the classic coat rack by Fritz Hansen. The simple design accords to the Scandinavian tradition of objectivity and partly organic shapes.
Coat Tree is available in chromed steel with black synthetic spheres and in three lacquered editions: multicoloured, grey-tones or white with suitable synthetic spheres each one of them.
Sidse Werner was a cabinet-maker, a weaver, industrial designer and an architect. She worked with carpets, textiles, glass, lamps, furniture and artefact in general. Designer Sidse Werner
