Fatboy original - Beanbag Marimekko

In 1988, Jukka Setää from Finland invented the fatboy “original“ as the beanbag of the 21st century! The fatboy represents a new, practical and colourful alternative to common beanbags and is very easy to clean.

The beanbag can be used in many ways: As lounge bag or armchair in a student digs, as relaying area in your office, as “comforting” pillow for children or even as surrogate bed for unexpected guests.

The fatboy’s size of 140 x 180 cm allows you to let you fall into the beanbag and sink in it. The high-quality filling consists of specially produced EPS globules and not of shredded polystyrene rubbish, like often used in low-cost beanbags. Therefore, the beanbag can be shaped as you like it best and adjusts ideally to your sitting or lying position.

The cover of the fatboy “original“ consists of a practical, specialy coated nylon material and therefore, it is incredibly easy to clean – a wet cloth is sufficient to keep it looking new.

Besides the unicoloured „fatboy“ original, you can also buy it with trendy patterns. The fatboy “original” Marimekko is available in three colourful versions:
