String Plex, the twin of the String shelving system, came to the market half a century ago and is still as famous as it was in the beginnig. In function and flexibility String Plex is identic to the usual String. The difference is in the appearance.

String Plex is so simple and plain, that the lower shelves awake the appearance to float freely in the air. The effect developes because the characteristic side parts of the shelf, which climb up the walls like delicate "ladders" , were replaced by transparent plexi glass panels. That's where the name comes from.
