Hochstapler is a detached, horizontal and vertical arbitrary expandable shelving system by Tojo. The independently available modules are arbitrarily combinable with each other in their height and length. Hochstapler (translated as impostor in the real word sense of “high stacker”) can also be employed as a sideboard or as a small shelf. It can also be expanded to a complete wall shelf if desired.
The differently milled side parts offer an unmistakable appearance to the Tojo Hochstapler shelf, but they especially serve as connection of the segments. A sideward slipping is avoided thanks to the fixing of the floor a bit under the milled parts.
The Hochstapler shelf consists of coated MDF melamine resin. It is available in white and anthracite. Dirk Frömchen designed it.
Dirk Frömchen was born on July the 20th in the year 1968. He decided to become a carpenter in the age of thirteen. Later on he completed his apprenticeship in the PGH wood processing craft in Apolda. Designer Dirk Frömchen
