Usame from Kartell is a complex and agile object that serves as side table and as newspaper rack at the same time. With its long shape and the external frame, Usame can also be used as bed tray. The levered border of the deposit space avoids the falling from objects.

Absolutely easy and thereby exceptional and refined is the design from Usame. As a small detail the designer Patricia Urquiola ornamented her side table with decent flower motives. It displays Gingko leaves that remind a little bit of illustrations from the Art Déco.

Patricia Urquiola has designed the side table Usame for the Italian company Kartell. Kartell manufactured the table out of transparent or through coloured PMMA. PMMA (polymethyl methacrylate) is a plastic from the highest aesthetic and functional quality. The material is resistant, robust and extremely weatherproof, which is why Usame is suitable as picnic table in the garden. Kartell offers Usame in several transparent colours and a transparent, black glossy variant.
