Product designed by Karim Rashid, like for example the wastebasket “Garbo", have become design icons and echo world-wide in collections of museums.
The manufacturer Umbra produces the successful since 1996. It was the first product that Karim Rashid designed for Umbra and it ranks to the most sold article of canadian companies.
1997 the Garbino trash can was awarded with the Good Design (USA) together with the bigger Garbo Can and the smaller Garbini Can. Today you will find him among other things in permanent showrooms in MoMA, New York, Brooklyn Museum of Art, Chicago Athenaeum Museum or the Montreal Museum of Decorative Arts.
The twisting and rolling Garbino consists of nonbreakable- and shock poroof Polypropylen. In different colours available.
