Rosenthal - Watering Can Dumbo

The Dumbo watering can from the designers Platt & Young is a watering can made out of porcelain that it is not another object of utility, but a noble design object.

It seems unusual to hear about a watering can made out of porcelain. It is an extremely common object, it couldn’t really be made of porcelain…

One of the most interesting aspects of the design still is that it changes the look to everyday objects and opens new perspectives. The designers Platt & Young have created a watering can with Dumbo, that consists of porcelain without being a common usage object, but a wholly furnishing element.

With it the forms are roundly and the water-insert hole is placed at the back end of the can. The design fulfils the white porcelain and emphasizes the noble impression of the waterning can that can simply be left in the room only with the job of a good looking appearance.
