Titania Terra is a floor lamp with the distinctive design from Alberto Meda and Paolo Rizzatto. The design out of 1995 is characterized by the elliptic shade of the lamp which can be designed individually with coloured filters.
Numerous lamellae out of aluminium form the Titania head which lies on a slim aluminium frame. The illuminant is in the middle and it spreads its light to the room through the lamellae. With the help of a foot dimmer, the light intensity can be regulated step-less.
With a simple hand movement, the colour filters can be used between the lamellae so that the wings are submerged in the desired colours. The light colour in the middle of the lamp will always remain white.
The lamellae furthermore avoid dazzling by the direct light of Titania. At the same time it reflects the light and spreads it in the room. Visually the thin lamellae create the effect that the lamp seems transparent when viewed from the front, and massive from the sides.
Luceplan offers different colour filters for the Titania floor lamp.
