The 1930 designed KAISER Idell table lamp 6556-T by Christian Dell embodies the style of the Bauhaus movement of that time.
The lamp is characterized by its formal closeness and it bribes by only some basic construction elements at the same time. The flat fan-like, asymmetric reflector shade with a diameter of 185 mm out of high quality steel sheet is characteristic for this lamp. The clever shape of the reflector enables a technically sophisticated light direction connected with the perfect lamp position and the white interior lacquer.
Connected on top of the reflector there is the socket dome, which is equipped with the embossing “ORIGINAL KAISER idell”. The independent but simple designed joints with their intelligent form, enable great flexibility and variability then they are used.
The upper tilt joint has a shapely screw clamp which is robust, but still acting filigree. The lower tilt joint is hidden in the socket of the table lamp. The harmonic formed lamp’s arm follows the silhouette of the reflector shade. The whole weight of the lamp is about 2.3 kg.
The 6556-T table lamp has been adapted to the nowadays technical directive including all certificates. Regarding design, quality and handicraft manufacturing arts, it is identic to the original in all its details. The “German piece of light culture” is reedited and produced in black and matt black by the company “KAISERidell A/S” based in Vejle, Denmark.
