The most original ideas emerge when one sees objects with different eyes. Caboche for example comes out of the observation of a pearls bracelet. An idea of Patricia Urquiola and Eliana Gerotto becoming a prestigious – better sayd wonderful and even modular lamp.

A jewel of creativity, but also of technology. With a single, sphere formed element and a modular, arch-like structure it is possible to create a whole collection of models in crystal or golden editions.

If one switches Caboche on, the light comes from the inside into free rooms between the transparent spheres and simultaneously spreads by these ones as many lightened crystals, from the inside. Are these diamonds? No, it is polymethyl-methacrylate.

The structure and the spheres out of polymethyl-methacrylate transform Patricia Urquiola’s and Eliana Gerotto’s initial ideas into a pure form of light that can adopt a new expression depending on the point of view. Each sphere faces the light differently and gives it back on most original ways so that it becomes the light source itself.

The Caboche collection from Foscarini includes many different lamps. Besides the pendant lamps, there are also ceiling and wall lamps as well as table and floor lamps in different sizes and colours.

The Caboche pendant lamps are also available in three different sizes, in yellow-golden or transparent editions as well as with different cable lengths on demand.
