The Bossa might be the most famous lamp from the leading Brazilian lamps manufacturer Lumini. It was designed by Fernando Prado who is celebrated in Brazil as star designer for years.

So bright and minimalist Bossa appears, so refined and intelligent is its technique: the specialties of the world-wide prized pendant lamp are its light-spread, which can directly change to indirect light through a simple pull at the lamps shade. Simultaneously, a reflector in the shade avoids glare-effects – or that the illuminant is mirrored in a glass table. This is how playfully different atmospheres are achieved through this lightning.

The Bossa design was prized with diverse renowned international prizes in the last few years: it won the Good Design Award and the Design Plus Award in the year 2006. The title collection was continued with the iF Gold Award and the Red Dot Award, Best of the Best in the following year.

Because of its enormous success, the lamp manufacture Lumini decided to create a complete hand made “silvered”, or “golden” exclusive variant. The used gold imitation is manually laid on in three layers, and scribed, which leads to a visual effect that makes Bossa look antique.

The Bossa lamp is also available in further sizes and in a golden variant.
