The IQlight-system is a unique Danish design out of the year 1973 – created by the Danish Holger Strøm. Each IQlight®consists of a number of equal modules that build a lamp. Depending on the number of pieces that build the lamp, it is possible to construct 21 different lamps – or to even create one’s own design.
The modules of the IQlight® consist of white PVC hard foil, which is flexible and resistant as well as easy to clean. The modules completely enclose the cable of the suspension when it is hanged, so that only one cable and a normal socket is needed to hang it.
The networking of the single modules creates a tensioned arch that creates small openings in the light organic surface of the IQlight®. These openings ensure the soft spread of the light and offer a unique expression to the IQlight®. The name “IQlight®” emphasizes the geometric form of the lamp and stands for „Interlocking Quadrilaterals“.
IQlight® from Novoform won the Interior Innovation Award on the Cologne furniture fair 2005. The package of the lamp, which has also been designed by Holger Strøm won the Danish Design Award 2001.
IQlight® is offered in six different sizes by Novoform.
