The Re-Trouvé from Emu interprets classical Design in a new playful way. The layout of designer Patricia Urquiola uses modern technology to create a classical table design.
Re-Trouvé is a series of furniture where all product are based on the same draft. The metal mesh characterizes all pieces of this collection. In the past the metal mesh was made by hand. Today however using advanced technology in working with metal, the frame of the Re-Trouvé furniture is being produced industrially.
The flexibility of the industrial procedure shows that the master draft of the Re-Trouvé collection is always similar. Table, Chair and flower pot differ only on a few details.
The geometry of the design gives the objects a 3-D-look. The curved outline creates pieces of furniture with a soft and sensual appearance, that recall the elegance of a past era.
The table topof the Re-Trouvé table from Emu consists of fullmetal, the frame of hot galvanized round steel.
On request further products of the Re-Trouvé collection from Emu, like chair and flower pot, are available.
The Spanish Patricia Urquiola already worked together with namely designers such as Achille Castiglioni, Vico Magistretti or Piero Lissoni after her graduation. She designs in her own office for renowned Italian companies since 2001. Designer Patricia Urquiola
