Comfortable chairs are not easy to find and if the search was successful, the design often puts a spoke to the seating pleasure’s wheel. However, this is not the case of the Striped Lounge Chair from Magis.
The stackable armchair came out of the feather from the French brothers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec. The Bouroullecs have already won diverse awards. Amongst them was the New Design Award of the International Furniture Fair of New York in 1999, the Grand Prix du Design de la Ville de Paris in 1998 and the First Prize of Saint-Etienne Biennale in 1998.
The brothers chose rust-protection treated, polyester lacquered steel-rod for the Striped Chair’s frame, making it predestined for the outdoor use. Seat and backrest out of transparent polyamide are stretched over the frame so that you can relax comfortably. The name of the chair comes out of the stretching. The rooms that appear between the stripes ensure an airy seating enjoyment.
This is how the Lounge Chair unifies seat comfort with modern design on the balcony, in the living room or the garden.
The Striped Lounge Chair is also available in green, black, orange and white as well as with armrests on demand. Also further products out of the Striped series are available, like for example the Striped foot-stool, stackable chair or sun-lounger.
