To the right Christmas eve belong besides tree, pastry and hot spiced wine also a Christmas crip. Happy people carve something like that mostly by themself. Who is technical untalented, has to buy expensive figures at the Christmas market, what you can buy beyond Christmas is mostly really corny.
The Berlin artist Oliver Fabel finds, that we don't need such iconographic ballast and built his own crip version: plain wooden bricks with imprinted description, handmade and honored with the Form Award 2008. Possibly the reduced figure group functions at the viewer, so familiar is the picture of the holy family with kings, herdsmen, bullock and burros. Asmart idea for purists.
Oliver Fabel was born in Kassel in 1970. From 1991 to 1993 he studied architecture at the Gh Kassel and from 1993 to 1999 he studied at the Bauhaus University in Weimar at the design faculty (more detailed – free arts). Designer Oliver Fabel
