On time for Christmas, Georg Jensen presents this year's annual collector's piece. The annual mobile Poinsettia (Christmas Star) was already designed by Regitze Overgaard in the year 2001, and reedited as a special edition in 2011.

Since 1984, Georg Jensen has launched an annual Christmas mobile to celebrate the Christmas season. Over the years, the Christmas mobile has become one of the most cherished and sold Christmas items in Denmark.

Last Christmas consumers were given the opportunity to vote for their favourite Christmas mobile among all the mobiles launched from 1984 to 2010 and thus decide which Christmas mobile they wanted to see re-launched in 2011 as a special edition. The consumers’ choice fell on the Christmas mobile Poinsettia from 2001 designed by Regitze Overgaard.

The mobile comes with two ribbons: The original red Christmas ribbon from 2001 and a red „special edition” ribbon, which is undated. The Christmas mobile is made of brass and plated with 24-carat gold.
