The Johanne Christmas tree top by Georg Jensen is classic and current at the same time. The Rebecca Uth design unifies traditional Christmas symbols with motives in art-décor style.

The Christmas tree top Johanne has a three-dimensional form. The small star flower in the middle develops and grows to its laterals, becoming a beautiful Christmas star with magnolia branches. The Christmas tree top can be used in many different ways: it is delivered with a spiral with which it can be fixed to the tree. Moreover a ring and a cream-white silk ribbon are also included, so that the star can be hanged during the whole Christmas time.

The product collection Johanne was named after a real person: Johanne was the big love in Georg Jensen’s life and the mother of his three kids. During the time they spent together Georg Jensen had his most creative phases as a designer. The Christmas tree top is a part of a whole series of Christmas products that are inspired by that time.

The design unifies a classic Christmas symbol with motives that Georg Jensen designed himself. The designer Rebecca Uth studied original records and books from the designer as an inspiration. To honour Georg Jensen and his work the silver Christmas tree top has an overlay made of pure silver in the highest quality.

Rebecca Uth’s work began as a tribute to her greatest love Georg Jensen. She had time to browse through the attic of the Georg Jensen basement and she searched treasures in several selected archives. Designer Rebecca Uth
