Menu - Carafe with Neoprene Coat

Menu and Jakob Wagner have overworked their awarded carafe and covered with a neoprene coat. The vividly coloured housing is not only an optimal bauble, but it isolates the content at the same time so that the carafe is especially suitable for cold drinks.

The neoprene coat of the carafe from Menu is two-coloured. Both sides possess contrast-seams in the colour of the opposing side, beside a distinctive wavy pattern. Both sides of the coat can be used and it is instantly turned around is you desire a new look for your carafe. Menu offers its carafe furthermore with different neoprene coats.

The water carafe from Menu and Jakob Wagner has been honoured with the desired Red Dot Design Award because of its practical and visual advantages. Also the neoprene coat carafe possesses the special closing mechanism that ensures that ice cubes, strawberries, fresh vanilla, liquorice roots or cinnamon sticks stay in the carafe as exotic flavour enhancers when you pour cold refreshing drinks.

The designer Jakob Wagner explains the idea behind his overworked carafe with neoprene coat: ”I am fascinated by something as simple as to transform the action of pouring water into a more rich experience that flirts with our senses. The neoprene coat lines play with the balance between openness and closeness. The neoprene protects the carafe but reveals its content at the same time.”
