Muuto - Corky Carafe

Corky from Muuto is a carafe for water and wine as well as a bottle for milk or juices. The idea behind the carafe is to create a simple and known form, which is fulfilled by an oversize design.

An archetype bottle was exemplarily for the design of the Corky carafe. The straight-lined form is fulfilled by the combination of the materials glass and cork. Appealing and well known in the appearance, Corky possesses an eye-catching detail: An oversized closure out of cork on top of the wide bottle-neck.

The cork ball closes the bottle, it is weightless and pleasant to touch and at the same time the element that offers the unmistakable appearance to Corky from Muuto.

One of my best loved Muuto products.The simple bulky form looks very warm and gives the carafe a kind of a sculptural appearance.It's wide enough to be cleaned pretty easily.The over sized cork stopper acts as a beautiful focal point and gives a strong character to the piece.Put at the carafe top gives an impression like floating in the air from a distance.lt's been the most impressive carafe l've found so far.
