Rob Brandt - Crushed Glass

After the crushed cup, the crushed glass is the second product by Rob Brandt that has been inspired by folded drinking glasses. The designer and Goods have thereby offered a sympathy memorial to the beloved but not so contemporaneous plastic glasses through many parties and hours in the office.

The crushed glass is the transparent variant of Rob Brandt’s popular crushed cup. Easy to recognize, the designer found his inspiration in the fast-folding plastic cups that are found at parties, Christmas markets or grill evenings. According to the style, also the drinking glasses display exterior crushes.

The small cups out of plastic break fast or get lost, whereby they make up more rubbish than it was planned. Contrasting this non-practical original, the crushed glasses consist of recycled glass and do thereby enable the re-use of rubbish instead of producing it.
