The salt and pepper cruet stand Banana Bros is part of a new product family, which Alessi designed in cooperation with the National Palace Museum in Taiwan. This cooperation work had also carried fruits with the "Chin Family" in 2007.
The designer of the Banana Bros is Stefano Giovannoni. For the product he was inspired by the unique pieces in the Taiwanian museum and started with the research of Chinese art. His own interpretation of the works can be seen in new products, which mix up the Asian effect with the for Stefano Giovannoni typical fancy style.
Every of the obects is not only an optical highlight but also is a famous household tool. The Banana Bros are a salt- and pepper cruet stand. Taken out of the banana boat, the small monkeys season every food. Aftre that they are put back into their practical banana boat and become a nice interior tool.
Stefano Giovannoni, born in La Spezia in 1954, graduated in Architecture in Florence in 1978, he lives and works in Milan. Designer Stefano Giovannoni
