As a modern interpretation of Finnish tradition, Iittala proudly presents its collection Sarjaton and activates a total new way of thinking in the area of tableware. The soft contours and the ostentatious décor of this exciting collection enable a multifaceted combination for the contemporary, typical eating culture.
Iittala has brought together six young Finnish designer from the areas of fashion, product, graphic and digital design to create a new collection that not only respect the craftsmanship and eating habits or rituals but also give consideration to current ideas and values. Inspired by the Finnish way of life and a conscious lifestyle, Sarjaton is the result of an innovative and collaborative design process.
Translating Sarjaton, it means "without series" - the different single pieces impress on their own but also in combination with other collections. They offer a creative combination according to one's own individual needs, they fit every occasion easily, and this way they redefine the freedom of flexibility.
Sarjaton is a complete but also reduced selection of 26 single pieces. Not only the design but also the used materials are responsible for the nice feel of the surface of the Sarjaton collection. The single elements of the Sarjaton collection consists of glass, ceramics, ash wood and textiles which can be combined randomly with each other or different products.
