Update – the different porcelain!

The origin was a bowl. It includes a plate that is a coaster and a lid at the same time. Bowl, plate in several sizes, a cup and a baking tin form the eight-pieces Update-ground-set by the designer Barbara Schmidt, a basical equipment for living-starters. Slowly but surely the programme was extended by more bowls, plates and cups, a spoon and a chopstick deposit. Out of this range of possibilities, every user can create his own porcelain according to his demands and life situation, maybe updating it with time.

Design: Barbara Schmidt

Barbara Schmidt studied at the HKD in Halle/ Burg Giebichensteinwie and spend one year at the University of Art and Design Helsinki. Since 1991 she is designer for the porcelain manufacturer Kahla/Thüringen. Designer Barbara Schmidt
