Iittala - Sarpaneva Underplate

This multifunctional stainless steel underplate is manufactured by Iittala after a design by Timo Sapraneva. It is suitable for decoration purposes for example for the Kivi tealight holders or fruits as well as for served tables, as underplate or serving dish.

Timo Sapraneva’s underplate was produced by the Finnish company OPA until 2009. Since 2011 Iittala manufactures the multifunctional underplate out of stainless steel and offers it in the sizes 26 and 42 cm.

Born in 1926 in Helsinki, Timo Sarpaneva is one of the great personalities responsible for the world reputation of Finnish design since the 1950s. Designer Timo Sarpaneva
