Disco Volante - Double Walled Tray

The double walled tray Disco Volante is a further proof for the sharp and sensible design from Piero Lissoni.

The tray consists of 18/10 stainless steel and is double walled, so that glasses and bottles that are transported with Disco Volante seem as if they were a few centimetres above the table, when the tray is placed on it. This small but noticeable difference offers the ancient ritual of serving a new and elegant note: the tray becomes a real decoration item out of only being a simple useful object and doesn’t have to be hidden near the table anymore but can be used to serve and present.

Disco Volante builds the arch between perfect utility and impressive elegance thereby being more than a simple tray.

Piero Lissoni was born in 1956 in Seregno, Italiy. After his architecture studies in Milan did he work as a designer for Molteni and Lema. In 1986 he founded in cooperation with Nicoletta Canesi the Milan studio "Lissoni Associat". Designer Piero Lissoni
