The Vassily Tray by Alessi is flexibel and assures through its simple, and practicle form.

An U-bented stainless steel plate forms the bottom of the tray and two handles close the two plate ends and add the deposit space of the tray.The angular, wide handles give the tray a not only a visual solidarity and refer to a typical blunt pyramidal form of a wooden tray.

The available tray sies are define themself of how many cups and accessoires fit on it. The 45 x 30 tray holds 6 espresso cups with sugar bowl. The smaller tray (33 x 30) holds 4 espresso cups plus sugar bowl, and the larger tray of 55 x 33 for 8 espresso cups.

The designer Giulio Iacchetta said about the design of its Vassily Tray: "Guess who comes over to eat?“… When I was younger everytime a tray was taken from the dresser, did this mean: We expect guests. And because of that I am still a fan of those plates. They are instruments which measure the distance between the arms; the larger the distance, the larger the embrace and the offer of things. Two hands are not enough if you have a lot of friends, and if you want to entertain all guests at once. Because of that we created a plate “on the moving metre“ , stackable ad infinitum; even if we agreed at the end to only three measurements!"

The Vassily Tablett by Alessi is also available in the sizes 35x30 cm and 55x30 cm.
