Riemerschmid Tray

Long before Marcel Breuer and Charles and Ray Eames brought their awesome designs with plywood to production, Richard Riemerschmid designed at the Colongne Art School in 1929 a stackable plywood tray.

Riemerschmid is today known as a big architect and furniture designer; more exciting was the (re-) discover of his plywood tray with which he added a small lbut technical high innovative contribution to the "Design of the new relevance".

In the original is the tray made of walnut and zebranor; they added maple and macassar to the original versions.
